17th century Dutch small two-door vine-pillow case with rosewood and ebony veneer. One drawer under the doors, standing on ball feet, in the crest the carving of two angel heads, lion mask and woman with falcon on horn of plenty. Height: 205 cm, width 185 cm.
The cabinet is disassembled, the various panels are packed in a dry storage room. It's not possible for me to put the cabinet together and take a lot of pictures. The lock is original (copper or brass), including key. The drawers’ joints are also original. No dovetail joints, because they weren’t introduced in the Netherlands until the 19th century.
The photos attached are of the legs and cabinet suspension.
The cabinet’s legs have woodworm holes, but have been treated for it. The entire cabinet is original.
Appraised at 22.500 guilders, on 29 May 1991 by Taxatiebureau Peeters, Tivolistraat 71, 5017 HN Tilburg, the Netherlands.
