Subjects presented for the 1951 selection on occasion of the Competition for the Fifth Door of the Milan Cathedral - Theme: the Nativity - then won by Lucio Fontana with a first prize ex-aequo together with Minguzzi.

Historical-critical news: The panel was presented at the competition for the fifth door of the Milan Cathedral in 1950 and, along with other selected sketches, it was exhibited at the IX Triennale in Milan in 1951.
It entered the hospital collections as a gift from Cardinal Giovanni Battista Montini (future Pope Paul VI) to the church of Santissima Annunziata, at Ca' Granda in 1963
