Joop Uittenbogaard Joseph Dirk (Joop) Uittenbogaard (Rotterdam, 8 August 1916-Eindhoven, 4 May 2010) was a Dutch painter. Since his arrival in the province of Limburg around 1940 he was active as a painter in Mook. Uittenbogaard was an autodidact. Both in his paintings and watercolours the untouched countryside was strongly represented. He worked a lot with the painters Dorus Arts and Toon Heymans. Uittenbogaard was also called ' the last of the Plasmolense painters '. He was the last remaining artist from the close artists circle Plasmolense artists, including Jacques van Mourik and Gerard Cox. Uittenbogaard has exhibited relatively little but his work is all over the world.
