Very beautiful and rare Ford Escort XR3i 1.6 from 1983 with just over 81000km on the counter. It concerns one of the earlier XR3i copies and is delivered new in Germany. Arguably from by first owner and with German papers. They are getting harder to find, especially in this condition and from first owner. The body is fully refurbished and completely new sprayed in the original colour. The bottom is stainless and also technically the Escort is fully in order. Much renewed in the technical field such as 4 x new tyres, brakes front and rear complete, timing belt, wheel bearings, lifters and a major overhaul. The interior is very neat and original except for some small cracks in the dashboard (a well known Escort ailment). Not disturbing or striking, but that is also the only defect. Has an original glass sliding roof as an option and of course everything that belongs to a XR3i such as the sporty spoilers all around, spot lights, original alloy wheels and sport seats, it is also nice back to basics driving. Very nice and sporty car to drive and then this sporty Escort also really comes into its own. Step on the accelerator pedal deeply and the 1600 engine with injection eagerly comes to life and makes the Escort really a lively fast car. Is delicious in the turns and you immediately feel where this car was meant for in its time. Still, it has lost none of the charm and guarantees lots of fun driving.
