Jean François Xavier Roffiaen (Ieper, 1820 – Elsene, 1898) was a Belgian mountain landscape painter. Roffiaen was pupil of, among others, Peter Ludwig Kühnen in Brussels. In addition to being a painter Roffiaen was naturalist and wrote scientific works. He was founder of the Malacological society of Belgium. He was together with Edmond Tschaggeny and Théodore Fourmois one of the first painters in the Limburg Kempen where he primarily met Genk and Diepenbeek. Was exhibited in several large museums.
