As well as the oil painting by Courbet, this recording is not pornographic, but shows the vagina of a woman very directly and not in an erotic way. The attraction of the painting, however, is that with “origin of the world” he takes the liberty to show an until then unparalleled boldness and openness. No historical or literary artifice distracts from the quasi anatomical representation of the female sex. I am attaching a quote of a scan of Courbet's famous oil painting as documentation.
